History is important in every aspect of a culture. Through the stories of great men and women before us, we would see ourselves better. In the field of special effects, few would dispute that Ray Harryhausen stands as a legend that inspire many great fans/followers whom themselves have today become respectable effects artists and directors.
And as you view through this DVD, remember that, just like culture, there's really no right or wrong ways of doing things. Some ways may not be practical for you today. But these knowledge would add to your experience. Hopefully, they will be useful when you need them one day.
